America’s biotech is the best in the world, and the CCP knows it. That’s why China is positioning its drug research pipeline to compete with American innovation at all costs. Chairman @RepMoolenaar's BINSA legislation will prevent American companies from sending our biotech industry to China. Without this critical legislation, it will not be a question of if, but WHEN, the global supply chain is controlled by the CCP. reuters.com/commentary/break…

Republicans put up 11 runs on the Congressional Baseball field. Appropriators matched it with 11 FY27 bills reported out of full committee. Congrats to @MarkAmodeiNV2 on leading his last full committee markup and advancing his Homeland Security bill! bit.ly/3Qz0ekY

The Magnets Value Chain Support Act of 2026 was formally introduced yesterday in Congress — a landmark step toward strengthening every link in the U.S. magnets value chain. 🧲 The legislation establishes a comprehensive tax credit architecture spanning rare earth oxide production, magnet metal metallization, permanent magnet manufacturing, and downstream motor manufacturing, all reinforced by robust FEOC guardrails and a defense production capacity reserve. We’re grateful for the opportunity to work closely with Hill champions and staff throughout the development of this legislation. And we extend our thanks to Chairman @RepMoolenaar and Ranking Member @RepRoKhanna for their leadership on this critical effort. 🔗 Read the full press release: chinaselectcommittee.house.g…

The CCP’s oppression of its people has no bounds. Last week, it denied families the opportunity to visit the graves of their loved ones – loved ones the CCP killed 37 years ago at Tiananmen Square. This brazen disregard for basic humanity is another reminder the CCP does not share the values of life and liberty that we cherish as Americans. ny1.com/nyc/all-boroughs/ap-…

Microsoft should seriously reconsider the wisdom of helping China’s AI technology efforts, particularly given the dangers for American national security, and the company’s recent failures outsourcing defense work to China. It makes no sense that some of the American companies most ruthlessly mistreated by the CCP persist in pursuing futile partnerships in China.nypost.com/2026/06/08/busine…

The CCP campaign to intimidate and harass Taiwan relies on gray zone warfare to push boundaries. This deliberate one-sided escalation tactic will only reinforce the U.S. and its partners’ convictions to stand with Taiwan and rebuke China’s unlawful territorial claims. reuters.com/world/china/taiw…

Congratulations to Grace and her entire family on the birth of her son! We hope she can introduce her son to his namesake one day.
On June 4, we are feeling tremendously blessed and overjoyed to welcome this new addition to our family -- Ezra John Drexel. We hope he will grow up to be a man of faith and honor just like his name's sake. May our family soon be reunited.

As was reported last month, the CCP attempted to spy on the Select Committee via recruiting on LinkedIn. Now, the U.S., the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, and Canada are warning that China is attempting to use job platforms to recruit people with access to sensitive information. The Select Committee encourages all Americans to be vigilant regarding suspicious outreach they receive. reuters.com/business/media-t…

On this day 37 years ago, brave Chinese students peacefully protested for freedom and democracy in Tiananmen Square. The Chinese Communist Party answered with tanks and violence, killing hundreds and wounding countless others. The CCP may censor history, but it cannot erase the truth. We remember the victims of the Tiananmen Square Massacre and stand with freedom-loving people everywhere who continue to resist tyranny and fight for liberty.

Today, the Select Committee honored the legacy of the June 4, 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre, and the courageous survivors who still face transnational repression from the CCP 37 years later. Special thanks to Arthur Liu, proud dad to Olympic Champion figure skater Alysa Liu, and former U.S. Army Chaplain Yan Xiong for sharing their stories from 1989, and the more recent threats against them and their families. All of us believe in the God-given rights and liberties we enjoy as Americans and pray one day the Chinese people will have these rights too.

China’s military is trying to illicitly buy Nvidia chips. The Select Committee has documented that China will buy what it can and steal what it must, and this story shows once again there is a coordinated government effort in China to smuggle and steal American technology for military purposes. That is why we need smart export controls including the SCALE Act Chairman @RepMoolenaar introduced to protect our advantage in the AI race and make sure we are not arming China. nytimes.com/2026/06/01/busin…

HAPPENING THIS WEEK: The Select Committee will hold a bipartisan press conference in remembrance of the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre. The Chinese Communist Party refuses to admit the truth about this shameful, bloody day in its history. It actively threatens those who share the facts about this tragedy, whether they are in China or America. The Select Committee stands with Chinese dissidents and will always remind the world of the CCP’s tyranny.

Chinese-made cars aren’t just cheap; they’re rolling data collection devices. They map where you go, who you see, and what’s around our critical infrastructure, and hand that data to a foremost adversary. Congress must act to keep CCP-connected vehicles off American roads. For too long, China has used its dominance over critical minerals processing to pressure industries, manipulate markets, and threaten global supply chains. Today’s @StateDept Quad partners announcement is a major step toward building resilient, diversified supply chains with trusted partners, not strategic adversaries. The U.S., Japan, Australia, and India are mobilizing up to $20 BILLION to secure supply chains for the minerals powering advanced technology, defense systems, batteries, and AI. The era of relying on China for critical minerals must come to an end. state.gov/releases/office-of…

Wall Street chose profits over national security. A new @ChinaSelect investigation found @BankofAmerica proceeded with @catl_official's IPO in Hong Kong after the U.S. government formally designated the company as tied to China’s military. Bank of America relied on unnamed third-party sources and CATL’s own denials to dismiss the U.S. government’s findings, even as publicly available evidence connected CATL to Chinese-linked entities, Chinese defense contractors, military-civil fusion programs, and forced labor supply chains in Xinjiang. This investigative report exposes a dangerous gap in America’s financial system: U.S. banks can still funnel billions into companies helping fuel the CCP’s military buildup and human rights abuses. Chairman @RepMoolenaar has sent a letter to @SecScottBessent urging him to add biotechnology as a prohibited technology under the Comprehensive Outbound Investment National Security (COINS) Act of 2025. The request comes in response to a dangerous surge of American capital and knowledge into China’s biotechnology sector, including @bmsnews’s recently announced $15 billion deal with China’s @HengruiCorp Pharma that also transfers intellectual property to China. Today, my Select Committee on China revealed U.S. financial institutions propped up companies tied to the CCP military. This is wrong. U.S. banks should not be allowed to fund companies with proven links to the CCP, and help our nation's chief adversary build up its military. foxnews.com/politics/wall-st…
