Staying safe in your house of worship or other community group shouldn’t depend on whether it has the budget for security resources. My bill would remove the 33% match requirement that makes it difficult for many smaller groups to obtain security funding.

Homeowners who sign shared equity agreements to get cash in return for their equity are learning the hard way that they must pay off the company, which owns any appreciation on the home, before they can sell it. Today, we passed a bill to better protect consumers in these cases.

PUC will hold public hearings from 1-3 pm and 6-8 pm this Wednesday, June 3, on a proposed gas rate increase. Both will be held at Ross Township Municipal Building, 1000 Ross Municipal Drive, Pittsburgh. There will also be telephonic hearings next week:
