Kemp on the late legislative push to slash income taxes: “They know it put us in a tough position to either veto the tax cut, pay for all this stuff, or either sign the tax cut and not be able to pay for it.”
He adds:
“We’ve got a hole in the budget that we got to fix. And they may, may not really like that so much, but for the members that get reelected and come back next year, when they're dealing with the ‘27 budget, they'll be thanking us for doing this.”
