The reason that private schools, Christian schools, and home schools are exploding in enrollment all across our state and states all around the United States is because of this kind of engagement.
In Mobile, our three kids have gotten exceptional, academic training at a fraction of what’s appropriated per student to our public schools.
We pay twice to avoid the activism that we see here, once through our taxes and another through private school tuition.
When you reintroduce this legislation next year, I’d be 100% on board with any effort to also increase the amount of money designated for school choice so that the many many many of parents like us don’t have to subsidize this type of lobbying and anti-Christian bias and…so that parents in every public school, especially failing public schools can choose to leave that type of activism for a school of their choice by directing their tax money to fund schools that put kids before lobbyists pushing anti-Christian discrimination.
