The Working Families Tax Cuts put Michigan families first. This historic legislation prevented 66,780 families in Michigan's 5th District from seeing their household’s Child Tax Credit cut in half and increased the Child Tax Credit to $2,500 per child to provide much-needed tax relief to working families.

The horrific behavior displayed by 8 pro-terrorist individuals at the University of Michigan is completely unacceptable. Those who threaten and use intimidation against officials must be held accountable.
#BREAKING: A group of eight people linked to the University of Michigan orchestrated a terror campaign to sever Israel ties from the university, according to federal prosecutors. Read more: detne.ws/4vDHrUv

Student aid should go to students, but instead, tax dollars have been lining the pockets of fraudsters who have used fake or stolen identities to receive federal student aid. The No Aid for Ghost Students Act maintains the integrity of our federal student aid system by strengthening oversight and cracking down on fraud.
Fake identities. Fake students. Real taxpayer money. Billions were stolen through federal student aid fraud. Today, the House passed the No Aid for Ghost Students Act to stop the abuse and protect taxpayer dollars. Student aid should fund students—not fraudsters.

Our schools should focus on reading, writing, math, and preparing students for success. Today's disappointing NAEP scores are a reminder that too many students are falling behind while school leaders focus on everything except the basics. Today is the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, a day that forever changed the course of history. May we never forget the courage, sacrifice, and valor of the brave American heroes who stormed the beaches of Normandy that fateful day.

Washington works best when it puts taxpayers first by cutting waste, lowering costs, and investing in the communities that keep our country strong. That means ensuring more money stays where it belongs: in the pockets of hardworking families and the communities they call home. Read more in my recent op-ed here 👇 monroenews.com/story/opinion…

Today's report is proof that when government gets out of the way, businesses grow, jobs are created, and American workers benefit. By promoting economic freedom, expanding opportunity, and equipping workers with the skills they need to succeed, we can build on today's positive momentum and ensure long-term prosperity for all Americans.

Every dollar lost to fraud is a dollar that doesn’t help a working parent care for a child or put food on the table. Proud to usher through the @EdWorkforceCmte and see the House pass the Stop Child Care Scams Act to protect taxpayer dollars.

This tax season, the Working Families Tax Cuts delivered the largest share of tax relief to American families and workers. That means more money back where it belongs: in your pocket!
President Trump's signature tax cuts are fighting for the AMERICAN MIDDLE CLASS.

"Students in classrooms today will need to understand not only how to use AI, but also how to evaluate it critically." @RepWalberg discusses that as AI reshapes higher education, students need more than technical skills—they need the critical thinking and judgment to recognize AI's limitations and use these tools responsibly.

As Chair of the @EdWorkforceCmte, I am proud to recognize June as Title IX Month and recommit to working alongside the Trump administration to protect every opportunity for women and girls to compete and learn safely and fairly. Last year, the House passed the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act to strengthen Title IX’s protections and ensure a level playing field for female athletes.
Under President Trump, the days of allowing men in women's sports and private spaces are over. This June marks the second annual Title IX Month. We will never stop protecting and defending women and girls.
