She/her. LGBTQ researcher at Uni of York, looking at cultural competence of community social care. Funded thru NIHR SSCR. All views my own (@TremendousTizzy).
Huge congratulations to @TremendousTizzy for passing her PhD viva today. We are very proud of you Liz! Thanks to @pwillis5 @BleakHLM for being stellar examiners. Another @NIHRSSCR capacity building award delivered! Hurrahhhh @UoY_SBS
Missed the start of this Emma Barnett interview & blankly could not figure out why she was tearing into the head of an endemetriosis charity for not having endemetriosis. Like you'd go after the CEO of Rethink for not having schizophrenia. Or Macmillan for not having cancer
Still searching for a few more self funding older people or those supporting them who have been through the process of getting housing adaptations. Any help gratefully received
To all allyβs to the trans community out thereβ¦
Itβs time.
No more ifβs, or bits, or maybes.
No more politeness, or βIβm not the best person for it.
The trans community needs you.
They need you right now.
Scream, shout, let it all out!

I'll never forget my first Ofsted lesson observation, as an NQT, when they said I couldn't rely on this level of energy to engage and enthuse my class as it would diminish as I got older. I hope they get to watch this, 20 years later. π€
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible @StrathclydeWork in Glasgow and we are raising money to sponsor free places for anyone who needs support to travel to Glasgow and attend.

ALT Purple background Poster with title: Looking for organisations that work with LGBTQ young people.
Inside a blue box is the heading: What is the project?
Below is the text: We want to improve access to appropriate help for LGBTQ young people if they experience domestic abuse.
In this participatory action research project, young LGBTQ people (as co-researchers) will decide on what issues we focus on, how we research them, and how we make an impact with the data that we find (with my support!).
Could you share this opportunity with young people you work with?
In bold: Please get in touch with me for more information.
DM me or email caitlin.a.jobson@durham.ac.uk.
Anthropologists have noted how many indigenous groups use instances of individual distress as occasions to inspect what's wrong with the social group; the individual embodies the unworked-through tensions & pains of the collective. Via this social ritual the individual is healed.
