Houses & Planet of Karmic Baggage/Blessings
5th H is of Purva Punya (पूर्व पुण्य), which means the good karma of past life. Whatever blessings a person receives in the form of intelligence, children, talents, or a natural interest in spirituality come from the 5th house. If this house or its lord is strong, the person enjoys benefits of good karma done in earlier births.
9th house shows dharma, fortune, and teachers. It is like the continuation of the good karma seen in the 5th house. While the 5th is the seed, the 9th is the tree that grows from it. Respect for religion, guidance from gurus, and overall luck in life are seen from here. Strong 9th house means the person is carrying forward spiritual knowledge from past lives.
12th house is linked with debts from the past and the path of liberation. It shows what the soul must give up, where losses may happen, and how one moves towards moksha. If there are challenges in this house, it usually means unfinished karma needs to be cleared in this life. It is both the house of expenses and the house of freedom.
Rahu, Ketu, and Saturn also indicates karmic baggage and desires. Rahu shows desires left unfulfilled from past lives, while Ketu shows areas where mastery already exists. Saturn is the strict teacher who gives results of karma through delay, struggle, and discipline. Together, they indicate the specific karmic lessons that one must face in this life.
Strength of the 5th, 9th, and 12th houses, along with the dignity of Rahu, Ketu, and Saturn, shows the type and amount of karmic debts or blessings a person carries in this lifetime.
