Grateful to @IainDale for a very thoughtful interview last night, allowing me to share my thoughts on the attack in Manchester.
Beyond the initial shock, this should absolutely serve as a clarion call for all to double down on our efforts to challenge the spread of extremism.

Currently in Birmingham sharing my story with students to raise awareness of radicalisation & extremism, and just seen the awful scenes unfolding back home- with methodology all too similar to the attack I was involved in. Dreadful to see, and just brings it all rushing back.

I’m appalled by the attack at a synagogue in Crumpsall.
The fact that this has taken place on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, makes it all the more horrific.
My thoughts are with the loved ones of all those affected, and my thanks go to the emergency services and all the first responders.
