My latest @NatCounterPunch assessing the opportunities and challenges of organizing a left politics among Asian Americans. This topic, I feel, still isn’t as explored as it should be. I include insights from left organizers that I think are amazing. counterpunch.org/2022/07/18/…

A keffiyeh is an ethnic garment if anything. It’s not Islamist. But don’t tell Mr Sleepy Eyes that:
Why does "Jewish-Muslim solidarity" require submission to Islamist narratives in exchange for a pat on the head? Lander is on stage with someone wearing a keffiyeh. Would the Muslim activists share a stage with someone explicitly Zionist?

Stop it. Jalen Brunson is a Black man. Celebrate the Knicks if you want, but this sudden interest and attempt to change his identity because of his marriage is cringe worthy at the very least. I’m looking askance at anyone sounding even remotely Iike Boteach.
Jalen Brunson our hero is married a Jewish woman, has a Jewish daughter, and had a Chupa and a Ketuba

Boomer cultural dominance is so bad that you can watch your own son drop 45 to win the NBA Finals and immediately start talking about some guy from the 90s
Rick Brunson: “I'm gonna stop the argument too… No disrespect, I love my son… Patrick Ewing is the greatest Knick I've ever witnessed” 👀

“No lead is too big. No guard is too small” Absolute perfection from these 2.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani @ZohranKMamdani is enjoying today’s Brazil vs Morocco World Cup match with New York Governor Kathy Hochul @GovKathyHochul in a luxury suite. Notice how the top socialists always live a life of luxury while normal people don’t.

I don’t want to jump to conclusions but I’m starting to think he doesn’t like Black people.
Hegseth removed Chappie James's portrait from the Air Force Art Gallery and left the wall empty. James flew 179 combat missions across two wars. First Black four-star general in US military history. Curry passed that portrait every day for a decade. When it came down, he retired. The wall is still empty.

I used to like Seinfeld & his comedy Now he has revealed himself as cruel, pitiless and a defender of the mass murder of civilians, including babies and children, I DESPISE him and can never enjoy his comedy again
Do you support Jerry Seinfeld? YES or YES

Why was it important to write that verse tonight? ROUPP: "The rainbow is a symbol of God's covenant to us, and us as believers stand firm in that... There's no hate at all." What would say if somebody considered that derogatory toward them as a community? ROUPP: "As a believer, I would push them to read the Bible. God has blessed me in so many ways and I don't think I'd be here right now if it wasn't for him."

If anyone has sympathy for a mothafucka that can blow $750k on tickets and stay on the same floor as Wemby…you have life backwards. This is the same dude who said he’s “calling Trump” when he gets back home…and he meant that shit. I don’t blame Wemby for wanting Trump supporting folks decked out in Knicks gear to not be his neighbors at a hotel.
A Knicks fan claims Victor Wembanyama had him kicked out of a $20,000 Ritz-Carlton penthouse during the NBA Finals after a friend allegedly told Wemby, “Good luck tonight, big guy,” per @nypost The fan says his group spent $750,000 on Game 4 tickets and was removed from the hotel just minutes after the interaction. The Ritz-Carlton and Wembanyama’s agent did not respond to requests for comment. (Via nypost.com/2026/06/13/sports…)

UPDATE: At least 4 San Francisco Giants players protested Pride Night on Friday vs Chicago 1. Starting pitcher Landen Roupp wrote Genesis 9:12-16 on his Pride hat 2. Reliever Sam Hentges refused to wear the Pride hat (just like Blake Treinen) 3. Reliever JT Brubaker wrote Genesis 9:13-15 on his Pride hat 4. Reliever Ryan Walker wrote a message on the side of his Pride hat was unreadable on the broadcast *I couldn't tell on the broadcast if outspoken Christian Robbie Ray protested as well Well done, gentlemen. You've set a great example for other Christian athletes 👏
