🚨 General Manager of State Water Contractors shares misinformation regarding bill AB 2215
In a recent op-ed shared by Jennifer Pierre, General Manager of the State Water Contractors, she shared incorrect information regarding AB 2215.
Circumventing existing processes also gives preferred treatment to DWR and SWCs, ignoring impacts to tribes, environmental justice communities, Delta ecosystems, and other (some more senior) water rights holders.
The bottom line: Avoid the misinformation
AB 2215 forces through a substantial update to one of the largest water rights permits in the state without adequate oversight and review.
