Β· The 11 individuals denied entry include high-ranking personnel such as Iran Football Federation president Mehdi Taj, a vice-president, two team administrators, a security officer, and a media officer.
Β· The dispute follows Canada turning away Iranian officials at the FIFA Congress in April, and coincides with wider tournament issues, including U.S. officials revoking ticket allocations for Iranian fans and denying entry to Somali referee Omar Artan.
