I think Trump put on a hat so he could take a nap without too many people noticing. Doesn't he fly to France tomorrow? Dude is prolly stone beat after this weekend, and he's 80 now!

What a cracker of a game. Two elite sides rightfully share the spoils, and I expect them both to be playing well into July.

Some elite elite skills on display for both sides coming out of the half in Dallas. Great finish to make it 1-1

Gotta be honest: I love the World Cup, Euros, Copa America... big international tourneys. But four games in one day is going to wear me down. I watched all of the first three intently and am beat to shit for this nightcap, the most important game of the day as a USA fan, lmao

I really thought Nazon (No 9) for Haiti would feature around halftime given his ability to score goals ... and the INABILITY of his teammates to score in a brothel. Haiti has largely been the better side but has no finishing ability and that spells doom in a group like this.

More than TEN HOURS of hydration breaks in the next 5 weeks or so. That hurts my brain to even think about...
The World Cup’s mandatory 3-minute “hydration break” is most devious ad unit inevntion since YouTube’s triple pre-roll back-to-back unskippable ad. Across 104 matches, FIFA now has 624 minutes (10 hours) of new ad inventory. That’s total of $500m potential new ad revenue that didn’t exist before (~$400k per 30-second slot). Hydration breaks in previous year were called if heat/humidity crossed a threshold. An estimated 200-250 million people watched Brazil vs. Morocco (Super Bowl is 130 million-ish, but still juiciest ad rates at $8m per 30 second spot). *** WSJ says ad range start at $250k (early games) to $750k or more for top-attraction matches (eg US games) for 30-second slot: wsj.com/sports/soccer/world-…

I would have lost all of my money if you told me before the game one team would be in red, the other in white and the team in red is NOT Haiti. Where does the red come from in Scotland? That's like the USA wearing green.

I find these posts far more amusing than most people. Laugh at pretty much every one of them...
In America, a warehouse store. A fully roasted chicken costs five dollars, the raw chicken beside it costs seven, and I stood between them like a man between two truths. Golden. Hot. Seasoned. Spinning in glory under the lights, in a line of its brothers. Four dollars and ninety-nine cents. I checked the raw birds. Seven dollars. Pale. Cold. You must do everything yourself. This is not commerce. Commerce does not move backward. Somewhere in this building, mathematics lies defeated. I asked the man at the counter. "How is the cooked bird cheaper than the raw bird?" "Been five bucks forever. They keep it that way." "But the store loses." "Yep. On purpose." On purpose. I held my receipt with both hands. In my land, a lord who lowered the price of rice in a hard winter was remembered for generations. They built him a small shrine. This store does it every day, with chicken, and tells no one. A woman behind me grew tired of my reverence. "It's just a chicken, sir." It is not just a chicken. It is a wound the merchant takes on purpose, so that anyone, on any day, with five dollars, eats like a lord. The bird is the message. The price is the vow. I will confess: I bought two. I did not need two. The second was not hunger. It was gratitude, and it was delicious. Some prices are not prices. They are promises. I return every week now. I take one bird. I bow toward the deli, briefly, so as not to alarm the staff. They have begun nodding back. The vow holds. The bird turns. Five dollars. Long may it spin.

The people at FOX in charge of programming actually decided to put Brazil/Morocco on FS1 until a couple of weeks ago. A top 10 FIFA matchup and they only bumped it for baseball game recently!

You play with your food for 90 plus minutes, you get what you deserve. Much rather see Switzerland draw than win by 1 after that effort. Bad bet, deserved result. Kudos to Qatar.

World Cup 2026 Sat 6/13 recommendations... Four games on Saturday, and a Friday recap. Down 2.225 before Friday. Listed work went 2-0 (Asian handicap involved) for 3.21 units. Now 3-2-1 overall in the World Cup, for 0.985 units. Onward and upward. Let's do it in rotation order today, not time... Saturday: Switzerland -1.5 -145 3u ... monster bet. Good up to to 1.75 -110 for the Asian folks as well. Don't let juice bother you. As my old boss Roger at Heritage said, "you only pay it if you lose". Funniest and biggest bullshit ever but again, funny. Pass Brazil. Lean OV. Haiti 1 -110 for 2u for Scotland. Check my pre tourney thoughts for this one. I think Haiti outright is not asking too much if you have the stones for it. Very down on the Scots & Haiti hasn't been playing anything close to a home game in years. Love their team, makeup, coach and am a little down on the Scots. Have 550 Scots at bottom of group for a unit as well. GL to me... Turks vastly better than Aussie but the nervousness of seeing USA win 4-1 on Friday could perhaps temper enthusiasm both ways. UNDER 2.5 -117 (up to -120 good) is my way here. Hard to see either giving up more than one given current group state... 1.5u For those of you at home looking for live advice, 2H plays, or just to be entertained, come join me on "The Sweatbox" ! Watch me watch it & let's discuss!

Best thing that could ever happen to anyone (USA especially) is to concede when up 3-0. Lessons learned in film and training, hopefully...

Tyler Adams getting a yellow tonight is by far the biggest loss for the USA in the end, regardless of all other results. Shit.

I love listening to Thierry Henry as an analyst. It's so odd to hear Rebecca Lowe (NBC Premier League) and Henry (CBS Champions League) working with Alexi (token FOX guy) and Zlatan in these spots, but I'm not complaining. Chemistry will likely grow with those four...

How long before some of these books that have been dealing 1h and 2h live lines for decades decide to start dealing 1q 2q 3q 4q stuff based on "hydration" breaks? I say 2030. But it could happen by the knockout rounds here if big books trust their algos...
