I’m honored to be joining @AmericanFreedom as VP of the Plymouth Institute for Free Enterprise, where my team and I will be excited to champion the values that have defined America. Much of what has made America great first took root at Plymouth Colony in the 1620s: • A bold, pioneering spirit • Personal devotion to God and family • Self-government and the consent of the governed • The seeds of constitutionalism and the Rule of Law • Property rights and economic freedom Over the four centuries since, these ideals became a beacon to the world—from the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution to the liberation of Europe and Ronald Reagan’s “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall” speech. Yet American freedom has also lived in the quiet dignity of individuals, families, pastors, farmers, and business owners pursuing what they feel called to do. To keep this freedom and our nation thriving, the American people must carry its torch, and the federal government must remain constrained by the Constitution. At AAF, we will advance this vision as we look forward to celebrating the 250th anniversary of America’s independence!

History's first trillionaire is a guy who catches rockets out of the sky with chopsticks and beams internet to every dead zone on the planet. Same guy ships cars that drive themselves, humanoid robots for the factory floor, brain chips that let paralyzed people move a cursor with pure thought, and an AI running on a supercomputer his team stood up in months instead of years. And the people crashing out about his net worth are doing it on the app he owns. The same app governments spent years trying to censor. You cannot legislate a rocket into orbit.

💯 the world if everyone understood this:
men look at the accomplishments of great men in awe. they feel proud, inspired, and want to be great as well. parasites rub their greedy little insect hands together and say "that's mine." ro khanna is a parasite.

Quality of life improvements come from innovative breakthroughs, which come from talented and passionate people - not government bureaucrats and programs created as a legislative compromise.
This the basic difference. Republicans believe that that if you let the wealthy spend capital it will make Americans prosperous. Democrats believe that the federal government investing in the healthcare & education of our people will make America prosperous & productive.

Math is completely wrong and, as always, he thinks that destroying companies and firing their workers will somehow create prosperity for others.
Brad, a 5% tax on Elon's trillion net worth would literally pay for free college and trade school for every American. And with the market's growth, he still would be worth over a trillion dollars! You don't think that's worth it?
Community note
5% of $1.2T is $60b. 8m students in BA/BS programs on average pay over $20k/yr, or ~$160b/yr for BA/BS degrees only. That tax could not cover even half of only US bachelor degree costs for just 1 year, excluding grad, ass., or trade degrees totaling another ~10m students. nces.ed.gov/programs/coe/i… bestcolleges.com/research/colle…

Economic illiteracy is on full display today. More concerning is the moral deprivation driving it.

He now owns over a trillion dollars of company that are doing exactly that…
Really hard to imagine becoming a trillionaire and not wanting to immediately liquidate enough assets to give at least a few hundred billion to organizations making the world a better place.

Nationalizing Tesla and SpaceX and laying off their workers will not magically create more doctors. What’s radically left is being this aggressive about being this absurd.
But taxing wealth so normal people can afford to see a doctor and not go bankrupt over inhalers is radical left. OK

Most politicians are dealers in envy and misery - prime example right here 👇

American is such a land of opportunity that: 1. Elon could come here with nothing and build companies that improve the lives of hundreds of millions of people. And 2. Elizabeth could be in the U.S. Senate with a kindergarten level of understanding of the real world.
Elon Musk just became the world's first trillionaire. The typical American household would have to work more than 11 MILLION years to make Elon Musk's level of wealth. We need a wealth tax.

The flexibility of remote work is giving mothers more options than ever before. AAF’s Rachel Greszler explains: “You don’t have to make the hard decision to completely stop working when children arrive and then jump back in years later already behind.”

This just goes to show that being a genius in one field doesn’t necessarily mean you know anything about the broader economy - perfect case study about why no one can successfully centrally plan the economy. Hyper growth would mean hyper prosperity - as it always has!
