I'm very glad I replaced our oil boiler with a heat pump last year. Apparently, the breakeven COP to be cheaper than oil is now 1.8 🤯

Coolest temperature so far this year last night, dropped down to 5.8C, my @myGrantUK Aerona 290 heat pump is working well, keeping the house toasty warm with a space heating COP of above 5, data from this sysytem is live on @Openenergymon 👏😀heatpumpmonitor.org/system/v…

What a three days!!!
Spent Monday at the Heat Pump Unconference where my presentation on real world heat pump / solar / tariff stats went down well.
Then had two days at installer show talking a whole host of brilliant people talking about all aspects of renewables and heating. Missed lots of people too. Maybe next year @plumbers_urban 🙃
So many great things on the horizon.

Here's a video about an interesting ASHP installation I was involved with in a solid stone cottage, the combination of insulation, air tightness, UFH and MVHR has made for a very efficient low-cost heating system with a SCOP of 5.1 for space heating 😀 📈

Interesting Top 14 chart from @Openenergymon showing last 365 days for systems that have separate space heating / DHW logging.
My %DHW spilt is huge compared to others. 40%?
Although the amount of work the 10kW @CustomRenewable in Buckinghamshire is doing is wow!
@RichMWPHS ground source performance is 🏅
@plumbers_urban proving little 5kW can do well.
Happy that my @MixergyLtd 3.7 COP is up there, especially with the amount of water we get through @Damon_BPHR .
