The palindromic numbers 24|42 mark today as an auspicious moment in my life. My retirement today from the State Assembly marks nearly 24 years as an elected. 42? That’s the wedding anniversary Robbie and I share this day. The numbers add up to one: Yes, I am one lucky guy! 1/2
I'm deeply grateful for the endorsement of Hon. @RichardBloom whose leadership as Mayor, Assemblymember, and Judge has shaped our communities for the better. His decades of service inspire me to bring the same integrity and experience-driven solutions for all SD24 families.
Been making these improvised #RobbiesBrownies since the 80s. Props to the late #MaidaHeatter and her timeless “Book of Great Chocolate Desserts” for the inspiration and to mother-in-law Betty Black for gifting me the book after I dropped the hint that I coveted it. #BloomBakes

This is incredibly sad news about P-22. But, we can be uplifted by the legacy of awareness about the plight of wildlife that he brought to us. And we can take solace in the fact that he lived a long and meaningful life. RIP P-22!! latimes.com/california/story…
At 12 years old, P-22 has lived an impressively long life..for Pratt, the assessment that he was struck by a car is “the final tragic note” in his remarkable life and speaks to how “the lack of connected space didn’t allow him to be fully a mountain lion.” latimes.com/california/newsl…

I just gave welcome remarks to the newly formed California Commission on the State of Hate. The Commission was formed after @GavinNewsom signed my bill, AB 1126 in 2021. He included funding for the Commission in this year’s budget, enabling today’s inaugural meeting.
I am very impressed by the background, expertise and commitment of the members of the Commission on the State of Hate. You can see for yourself, here: calcivilrights.ca.gov/commis…
I am very optimistic that the Commission on the State of Hate will, through its work, come up with concrete ideas that will materially address and reduce the growing hate speech, conduct and crimes that effect the State of California and our world.

2 4=6
4 2=6
24 42=66
Numerologists say that “66” is the number of balance and harmony, unity and coming together as one and symbolizing peace, love and understanding.
I’ll take it.

Good news on a topic I prioritized in 2014 with Assembly Jt Resolution 50 sponsored by @eqca. It’s shameful that discrimination against LGBTQ people runs so deep & contrary to well-documented science even when lives can be saved w/more blood supply apple.news/ApZdQTVupRQKBTqJw…
