This getting up at O dark thirty is getting old. But at least Iβm having fun doing this. I love my job. Big boys with their big toys. And the overtime Iβm getting helps too. $$$

AJ and I raised $480 in a four hour period. It got a little warm around noon but we were in the shade. Doing it again next Sunday and the one after.

AJ and I are at Willows Walmart raising money for the city fireworks show. We here at VIPS do more than just patrolling and writing tickets. We support our community wherever possible. π§¨π₯π

3 bent scraper paddles put our rig down for a little while. We got them off and weβll have to take them to a machinist that can press them straight. The other crew didnβt get all the concrete chunks picked up. So Iβll be using their rig in the meantime.

Great day for a ride. Stopped and had pizza for lunch. Then hung the signs. Went off roading thru a construction site. Had refreshments at Dibble Creek. Then to Wendyβs for a burger. Then Black Bear for ice cream. 214 miles over a 9 hour day. Our route will be in comments. ποΈποΈποΈ

I have to make a retraction. I was tired last night when I said that I moved 5,000 yards of dirt in one day. Actually that was the total of both machines for the three days we ran. One machine on Wednesday and both machines Thursday and Friday. 1,000 yds a day for each machine.π₯±

Different office yesterday and today. Same dirty face. Running around on this old thing for 8.5 hours is like going 10 rounds with Mohammed Ali!! I moved approximately 5,000 yards of dirt each day. 34 hours in three days!! Looking like Iβll be doing this all next week too. π=$$

Tonightβs recruitment dinner is in the books. 7 young men and women (1 was a no show) are joining the armed forces. Not as many people showed up as we thought, so there was a lot of leftovers, but that will be donated to the fire department. All in all it was a great night. πΊπΈπ«‘

The wind is terrible today. 30 mph w gusts up to 40. Branches down, even a steel building frame that was halfway up was blown down. I was okay going with or against it. But going sideways was terrible. It was blowing me all over the road. Had to go slow. Still a good ride. π¬οΈποΈ
