It's always a privilege to lead a course at MfA, but being able to do so in person after the past 18 months is truly special. Thank you to MfA for providing me with the opportunity to continue to learn alongside such distinguished educators. I appreciate you. #mfaproud

Had a blast learning about #sidewalkmath with @_b_p. at MfA this evening. I'm leaving inspired to bring this type of mathematics to my students and school community.

Been spending a lot of time preparing students for the SAT Math Sections. Does anyone have any links to problems they are willing to share? I'm having a difficult time finding good questions. #iteachmath #MTBoS

For those who didn't watch the video: Zack is an immigrant from Syria—and he caught a terrorist from New York. Never forget that immigrants don't make us less safe, they make us safer; and they make New York... New York, every single day.
Zack Dahnan, the 21-year old security camera installer who first spotted the suspected subway shooter in the East Village, is holding an impromptu press conference on 1st Avenue. He says news of the presser left him unable to sleep.

Today was SAT Day in NYC, an incredible waste of time and money. I get so angry when I think of all the personnel hours that were spent finding activities and rescheduling classes so all juniors could take the SAT in the name of "equity" while everyone else does nothing.

Had an absolute blast "making math visible" by building George Hart's 12-Card Star Sculpture. I'm already looking into purchasing a small buzz saw so that I can do this with my Ss. Anyone have any recommendations? #mfaproud #iteachmath #mathchat

A lot of people using at home tests still don't know what a negative test result means. I think this graph is particularly useful in explaining the timing of how rapid tests actually work. businessinsider.com/how-to-t…

🧵 COVID-19: The unbearable 'mildness' of Omicron The 'Omicron is mild' narrative was seeded very early and is being heavily pushed at the moment by the usual scientists, journalists & politicians. Students of context should be cautious on these grounds alone. (1/15)

Pro tip: Add fun trivia questions unrelated to the content you teach into your #Kahoot games. It mixes up the leaderboard, makes things unpredictable, and adds a "lighter" tone to the game. #teacher #teachertwitter #MTBoS

I personally use this @skewthescript. curriculum with my Statistics kids and really love it. The articles linked here are something I plan on using this year in all my classes.

I taught a course online called Statistics for Social Justice. Here's everything: docs.google.com/document/d/1…
It really is remarkable how efficient parent teacher conferences are via zoom.

🎉New Feature Alert 🎉 1⃣Select multiple student responses in dashboards from the Teacher tab and leave feedback on all of them at once. 2⃣You can also present those responses as an “album” of Snapshots. 3⃣ And save the album to your Snapshots tab for use later!

I was disappointed to log into #Deltamath today and see that I was going to be charged $95 to renew my subscription to Deltamath plus for another year. (1/X) @MrDeltaMath.

It's frustrating to see that I don't have access to copy the custom problems I created myself on Deltamath last year because my subscription expired. Paying $95 to copy my own work that I created (and paid for) for feels really awful. (4/4)
