I took this video during the flooding in Waco last night. I was one of the first cars by the flood area on interstate 35, and I was FaceTime'ing my wife almost in a panic. I was legitimately concerned that I might die when the water on the other side of that wall came crashing over and possibly carried me away. This is the first first responder who showed up on the scene and he was looking at the situation. I was so glad to see him. You can hear my amazing wife on FaceTime from our home trying her best to calm me down. I want you to listen to her to see how amazing she is. This is part of the reason she is such an amazing wife. I love her so much and I'm so glad that I got to come home and hug her last night.

I shot this video while we were stuck on the highway in Waco during the flooding. I was very concerned that the retaining wall wasn’t going to hold up and we would all just be stuck. I shot this video when the first responders sowed up. But we were literally stuck. There was water in front of us water to the left water to the right and cars behind us. It was like something out of a movie

Here’s a few more vehicle flood in Wakefield tonight. I was basically the very front cars in all of this. I am sincerely lucky to be alive. When I got there, there were no first responders. It was just me and lots of people that had no idea what to do and we’re afraid that the retaining wall was gonna break and all that water was gonna come rushing over to us. . Once all of the first responders starred to get there, I was ao relieved.

I am grateful to be alive after getting caught in a flash flooding event on I 35 near Waco. Look how fast the water was coming over this retaining wall. I am so thankful that retaining wall held up otherwise this situation could've been a horrible tragedy. There were many of us literally trapped on I 35. I am so thankful for the first responders who came out.

Whoever this first responder is, was amazing. They all were.

You can see my car in this video. I was basically at the front of the line. There was water in front of me to the left of me to the right of me and Myles of cars behind me. It was the closest to feeling like I might die that I've ever been to in my entire life. I'm thankful for the Lord for getting us out of there safely and for the first responders who risk their life to help us.

On the way back from dropping off one of our kids at summer camp, I stopped in Lockhart, TX (iykyk) for some true Texas bbq. I met some people here from England for the World Cup. This is their first taste of Texas bbq! It was a privilege to be apart of this milestone. 🫡
