In Bratislava, @babitzova, Peter Hanák, @rastokuzel & Sophie in 't Veld stressed free press is not a “nice-to-have.” It’s a democratic safeguard. Governments prove commitment through laws & accountability. Watch it here from 1:20: youtube.com/watch?v=B06EpVa2… @VoltEuropa @VoltSlovakia

On 14 June 1985, the Schengen Agreement changed Europe forever, making it possible to cross borders freely, without passport checks. 41 years later, we still benefit from this milestone every time we travel, study, or work across the continent. 🇪🇺 (1/2)

At Volt, we want Europe to work for everyone. Coming from, say, Lisbon shouldn't mean endless train changes. We will be discussing this at our GA — come shape the discourse! 🎟️ Tickets: volt.link/bratislava2026

Yesterday, Hungary has chosen a new direction. With 98% of the votes counted, we have secured 138 seats in the 199-member parliament, representing more than 3.1 million votes. We also expect to win two additional individual constituencies once ballots from voters casting their votes away from their place of residence are fully counted. The Hungarian people have granted the Tisza Party a constitutional majority with a clear mandate: to restore the rule of law and return Hungary to its rightful place in Europe, among democratic nations. To everyone who helped us achieve this victory: thank you. From this moment on, we will work to earn your trust every single day.
