Caught on camera: Maryland fire engine struck at crash scene early today. It happened to Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department Engine 830 on Route 50 near Route 410 around 3:00 a.m. From @PGFDNews on Facebook: PGFD Engine 830 (Landover Hills) was struck by a vehicle this morning while providing barrier protection on RT50 EB at Veterans Pkwy. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries. Move over for emergency vehicles…it’s the law. @charlienbc @matthewyoung31 @NFTC_News @BillyGoldfeder @TheSecretList @Respondersafety

Positioning is an art form that should be practiced on every run.
If you got the turntable and the basket lined up. Don't let the position of the jacks stop you from getting that prime position. The use of hardwood cribbing wood should be carried on your Ladder and Towers to help build a good landing zone for your jacks. @FireApparatus1

Great job by Engine 825 and 7th Battalion companies in quickly controlling this townhouse fire this afternoon. Good company discipline and communications to ensure lines went to the right place and limited the extension. Tailboard critique by IC went over all good things completed by the companies...

The tight streets in Cambridge, MA are no match for this shorty rig, and then add rear steer. The places and alleys this engine will get into will be unsurpassed... Build them for your response area.. @FireApparatus1 @fireengineering @TTraining #FDIC2024
