What stories impacted you the most? It doesn't even have to be the full show, movie, or game, just that it did something along the way that really hit you like nothing else. Even further, have any stories changed your perspective or any part of the way you live?

The line gets foggy because I'd say there are quite a few Kirby and Mario games that don't do anything wrong, but at that point, the range of "perfect" games gets really wide. The ones I listed maximize every aspect like, 100%ing, level design, new ideas, replayability, etc.

For me: Super Smash Bros Ultimate Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Paper Mario: Color Splash Paper Mario: The Origami King Metriod Dread Luigi's Mansion 3 Rayman Legends BotW Xenoblade Chronicles 3 I'd include all Xenoblades for personal impact, but I wouldn't critically call X or 2 perfect.

I made a decision to watch a movie tonight. But what I came away with was much more than just a movie. I came away with an ascendancy. I have awakened. I have Evolved. Cinema will never be the same for me. I’m changed forever.

True legends know where that bread is from.

Sony literally has a first party IP that they can use to directly compete with Nintendo's Xenoblade Chronicles, but they choose to leave it in the dark. What is wrong with them?

Two books down, one to go. Dark Force Rising took a while to get started, but it had even higher highs than HttE. There's definitely some expectations I have for the final book, but already, it's a successful, phenomenal trilogy so far. Start reading it if you haven't yet!
I think it’s about time I read the REAL Star Wars Sequels. Me reading books is a once in a blue moon occurrence. I can list on one hand how many I’ve read in the past decade or so. But I’ve recently had the Star Wars spark reignited in me, and I need something to satiate it!

DFR's pros and cons are equal to HttE's. It's brilliantly smart and adherent to proper worldbuilding, but also windy and improperly paced at times. Overall, it's great. Now, I absolutely want to read a Karrde/Mara story that shows more of their backstories and how they met.

Smash Ultimate reveal reactions never fail to excite me! Every time I see them, I get the chills. From start to finish, Ultimate was one of the most special experiences to live through. It was so much fun having a new surprise DLC character to look forward to all year-round.

Can’t stress this enough. Freedom increases the oversight needed and makes the game a playground of ideas rather than a tight, unique experience. Giving the player more freedom doesn’t equate to being more fun. The job of a director/dev is to funnel the experience effectively.
I feel like the concept of “the more restrictions you have, the more creative you get” is lost on a lot of modern developers. If you can do everything, having to design around being able to do everything takes precedence over giving your game a specialized, tailored design based on a specific vision. The former tends to have no identity to its execution while the latter creates a unique experience for the players that sticks with them. This specialized design also created a community through a shared experience as well. If everyone can just alter the settings for everything to play “their way”, then discussions of how the levels are designed or how the mechanics work is less likely to happen due to people just saying “yeah I just used these skulls”. Not that it’s not going to happen at all, but it’s less likely to be that way organically.

When games add too many customizations, difficulty toggles, and settings, they ruin their potential to deliver a specific approach. The experience of a game is designed around its challenge, restrictions, and levels design so don’t take that away in the name of “accessibility”.

Collider sucks, and Solo was the first Star Wars movie to bomb. Thems the facts. However... I do really enjoy it. Lando was awful and this girl was an annoying, but otherwise, I liked about all of it. It feels like a model Star Wars. What do y'all like or not like about Solo?
The Han Solo prequel Solo: A Star Wars Story, starring Alden Ehrenreich, is an underappreciated, thrilling entry in the sci-fi franchise. bit.ly/440gb6K

The pacing is super solid, going from character building to fast paced action. It's fast as a smuggler film should be. Action movies can feel pretty forced with how they fit in action scenes to satisfy the genre needs, but Solo's action flows right alongside the story.

All in all, Solo: A Star Wars Story feels exactly like what it should be to me. The worldbuilding is in line with previous films, keeping consistent while expanding in interesting ways. Action is great, dialogue isn't off putting, and characters are memorable. It's a fun time.
