I have always loved Red Skelton and his comedy. I was honored to met him and share a conversation with him in Tulsa, OK many years ago. He signed a few items for me as well. Anyway, his bit about "The Pledge of Allegiance" has always stuck with me and is the spark to set me to do this song.
