Riley Johnson(@Riley_Johnson5) has put together a season that demands attention as the Herbert Hoover High School standout from the Class of 2027 continues lighting up scoreboards and establishing himself as one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in the region. A two-time All Conference and All Kanawha Valley selection, Riley has elevated his game to another level this year with a blistering 20.4 points per game while leading the Cardinal Conference in points, field goals, 3s, and points per game, while also sitting 3rd in all of AAA in scoring and holding the top spot in made 3s. When Riley catches rhythm, the game can flip in an instant, as proven by his three explosive 40-point performances that showcased his ability to take over and control the tempo of a game. A true three-level scorer, Riley can punish defenses from deep, slice through defenders to finish at the rim, or rise up and deliver from the midrange when the moment demands it. His confidence shines every time he steps on the floor, playing with the belief that he is the best player in the gym while still maintaining the vision and IQ to elevate the players around him by creating opportunities and finding teammates in scoring positions. On the other end, he brings that same competitive fire, embracing the challenge of locking down whoever is in front of him when his team needs a stop.
