Bumping this back on the timeline.

At Rivalmaker, we pride ourselves on being crazy responsive to our users. If something is broken, we find it and fix it. But today, we ran into a wild edge case that absolutely had me scratching my head as a founder. A quick story about geography, code, and college sports. 👇👇
Our default distance filter was automatically set to a maximum of 3,000 miles. That covers the entire continental US perfectly. But as it turns out, Hawaii is really, really far away. Everything else was just getting hidden by the default search radius! 🤦♂️ (4/5)
The fix was simple: I patched the app to default to "any distance" rather than capping at 3,000 miles, and pushed it straight to prod. Problem solved, @coachstraker is happy. Hooray for learning about edge cases! Always building, always listening. 🚀📈 (5/5)

I’m at the point in my career that I’m ready to start intentionally giving back to the next generation of coaches.
In the same way I had people in my corner providing guidance early in my career, it’s my turn to start doing the same. See below for details & more information ⬇️
