The Coastal Fire Centre will enact a campfire prohibition on August 4, 2022 at noon Pacific Daylight Time for all regions except Haida Gwaii.
This prohibition is being enacted to help reduce the risk of wildfires in our region.

Fire damages one unit at a BC Housing Complex in Campbell River on Saturday. Fire crews quickly contained the fire to one unit in the multi unit complex at Riverside Village just before 3pm Saturday. No injuries reported and the cause is under investigation

CR Firefighters respond to a kitchen fire on the 2nd floor of a 4 story apartment in Downtown Campbell River this afternoon. Fire was contained quickly, no injuries, cause was determined to be an unattended pot on the stove.
