Given how much harder MTA funding may soon be to come by, it is imperative for New York that Congestion Pricing begin while it is still possible.
While $9 may be too low, it's better to get the program off the ground and tweak the amount later.

#JCcrashes 😠 This evening, a driver turning left from Palisade onto Hutton St hit a pedestrian. Police made a report. Previously there was a vertical pedestrian sign at this location but it is currently down. @yousefjsaleh
Heights residents are begging for safer streets. On palisades we’ve gotten plastic that’s already destroyed or missing.
There was a hit and run and a pedestrian was struck tonight at this intersection. @StevenFulop@yousefjsaleh please help us.

3/♾️ These are the people in your neighborhood—who want the fully protected 2-way bike lane across the Heights on Manhattan and Franklin! Tell everyone in charge you want it too, with our easy automated email sender, right here: actionnetwork.org/letters/sa…
This will be transformative for biking in an underserved part of JC, far more effective than isolated outpost stations. It also will only increase the need—and hopefully neighborhood support—for protected bike lanes along and across the center of Greenville!
We are doing a large bike share expansion early next year (23 new docking locations) all located on the south side of #JerseyCity . We are finalizing details now but I’ll share here for feedback during the process.
We are hosting #Wellness Day on Saturday, October 19th, 9:30am-3pm. Free and open to the public!
Join us as we explore how nature can heal our bodies, minds, and souls 🥰

Supported by @HealthierJC
So proud of our #YouthUrbanFarmClub4H teens, many of whom decided to return to our garden after participating last year. Special thanks @HealthierJC for the support of our garden programming, @RutgersU & our volunteer mentors. Drop by to see the skyscraper bug hotel they built!
Remember that the vast, vast majority of NJ to NY commuters also use transit. The amount of space the car traffic occupies speaks to its inefficiency *not* its importance. Congestion pricing was set to give the whole region cleaner air, safer streets, faster buses less traffic.
New Yorkers are aghast that @GovKathyHochul is considering a delay of the congestion pricing plan, one that would generate $1 billion annually, just 25 days before its start.
Lots more people use public transit than commute into central Manhattan by car!

National freight shipments declined, -21.6% YoY this past quarter and have been in decline for the last 2 years. The idea of using a temporary pandemic freight bubble to justify a completely unnecessary Turnpike expansion is completely out of date. #TurnpikeTrap
