Talking Lions with @PrideofDetroit's @DetroitOnLion: Minicamp is over, so we look ahead to training camp. How does this team bounce back in 2026? Which players will take a big step this year? Can Detroit earn respect across football in training camp? youtu.be/7bU4dnwUcgY?si=P3XG…

I have been a Lions season ticket holder since 2018 and tweeting since last ten years about them. Today was absolutely wild. I am so thankful for the team who loves their fans as much as the fans love them. #OnePride

Love the banter on @PrideOfDetroit pod - mostly the angst about the Germany game and bye weeks. The more I hear people whine about the Lions getting screwed there, the more convinced I am of my opinion - the travel has a waaaay smaller effect than you're giving it credit for.

Traveling west across time zones (and only 6 hours to boot) will have virtually no effect on recovery and preparation time for Tampa Bay, which will be on a normal 7 day week rhythm. This perceived competitive imbalance is being massively overblown.

2023 Blake Miller (#78) vs. Rueben Bain Jr. (#44) Providing the other 10 snaps where Miller and Bain were matched up from three years ago — beyond the screenshot play below. That screenshot play accounted for one of just two sacks Miller allowed across 539 pass-blocking snaps as a true sophomore. Worth noting: screenshots of football plays are often misleading, lack context, and are generally unhelpful. That rep came 2,200 snaps ago, and Miller has made significant year-over-year strides — it’s not reflective of the player the Detroit Lions selected in Round 1.
The player I wanted vs. the player Detroit drafted 😔. And this happened ALL GAME.

R1 Lions conspiracy theory Cowboys overpaid to move up 1 spot because they knew the Lions were on the phone with Miami for Downs @DetroitOnLion @erikschlitt

Hey @erikschlitt - odds makers currently have Caleb Downs as better than 50% he falls out of the top 10 How close does he get to 17 before Jeremy's nightmare is realized and Holmes trades up for him?

Gut feeling for the draft: Caleb Downs falls, Lions take him at 17. Then move back into the first round to take Blake Miller.

Bold (??) take for the Lions. Proctor smoke screen is the red herring, the real smoke screen is any OT in R1. Holmes playing 4D chess and is going to have a top 10 defensive talent waiting for him at 17 (Downs??), and will take his OT with his 2nd pick @colton_pouncy

Lions draft hot take: Holmes and Campbell will double up on at least two positions, and one of those will be Tight End. I actually think there is a good chance they double up on 3 positions... Edge, LB and TE

Christ’s resurrection is the single most important event in the history of mankind. His promise to do so is the most important promise ever fulfilled. If he had not completed this work, then we as believers are of all men to be most pitied. In fact, it is the resurrection that gives us not only hope for eternity but also power in the present and forgiveness for the past. It is because of the resurrection — because Jesus did precisely what he said and is a living savior — that the way in which I treat my children, my spouse and my community matters. Today we celebrate the open invitation he extends to all, saying that whosoever will come in repentance and faith can become a child of God.

Once I won a chance to have Barry sign anything. So I had Zach Follet make a big wooden Lions logo cutout, and I sent it to Barry to sign. He graciously did, and then immediately switched to only sending out signed cards to his social media winners. It's my fault, I'm so sorry
