NewsGuild prez @gaufre confirms for me that JD Vance crossed a picket line by publishing an op-ed today in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, where workers are on strike. No excuse for it, he says.
"JD Vance is a scab just like anybody else who crosses a picket line."

On Monday @ColumbusCouncil voted to invest $2 million into the creation of #Career500, a new grant workforce development grant program in collaboration with ASPRY, formerly known as the Workforce Development Board of Central Ohio.
The grant program will help to expand existing high preforming workforce programs that are helping residents find a better paying career. We are aiming to serve at least 500 residents over the next two years.
We are also having @OhioState Center on Education and Training for Employment study how we spend these grants and their impact on residents. This will help us identity how we can better support our neighbors in finding a better career to support their families.
President Pro Tem @RobDorans is proud to sponsor Career500, a $2 million workforce development grant program. With local job growth expected to be twice that of other Midwest cities, this program will allow residents to gain skills they need to succeed in our growing economy.
ALT Supporting the City's Workforce with Career 500. Career500 is workforce development grant program that will provide capacity building funding to workforce development programs that will enable them to recruit, serve, and graduate 500 or more Columbus residents.
Frances Perkins was a trailblazer who revolutionized workers' rights– securing Social Security, the minimum wage, and banning child labor.
We're calling for a national monument to honor her legacy. It’s time she gets the recognition she deserves.

King Avenue serves as a vital connection between neighborhoods and local businesses, but the railroad bridge and multiple road crossings pose safety challenges. President Pro Tem @RobDorans shares how LinkUS aims to make this area more walkable and accessible for residents.
Thousands more workers and their families across our country now have a shot at the American dream because of benefits of joining a union. Love to see it. #1u#UnionYes

To absolutely no one’s surprise… corporate price gouging is the biggest driver of inflation.
