The Most Violent Match In World Cup History NEW Softcore History is LIVE. We’re talking about the “Battle of Santiago” match between Italy and Chile in the 1962 World Cup. After two Italian reporters basically wrote that Chile was a sh*thole, the Chilean team was out for blood.

Wemby winning DPOY and being basically already declared the best NBA defender ever, and then losing the Finals, has to earn him the nickname "The Maginot Line" right?

Idk what was written in the scripts or talked about in the table reads, etc. re: his characters but from my *watching* it seemed like he REGULARLY played the straight man, both comedically and I guess sexually? (Or more accurately, his characters’ sexualities, whatever tf they were, were totally irrelevant to a lot of his roles.) And I feel like he played the comedic “straight man” kind of a lot because he was by far the most reliably clean reader of cue cards in the cast.
Bowen Yang says he left "SNL" because he "never felt central" to the show. "I never played the dad or the straight-man teacher. I was always kind of there as the seasoning." Stream the full #ActorsOnActors episode now on the CNN app: cnn.com/videos/title-2570358

Jack from @JackBox raising a cleat in anger to kill a man on the soccer pitch might be the biggest laugh a commercial has gotten out of me in five years.

If you’re in the market for a new watch @PraesidusWC just dropped an absolutely incredible D-Day inspired series. (And they sponsored a Softcore History ep for it, which was nice of them.) The watch faces are made from steel from WW2 vehicles. praesidus.com/pages/d-day-82

It probably wasn’t? Is it worth more financially to be in the SEC than to be perpetually winning conference titles and ranked in the top five/ten all year every year? I understand lesser brand schools (Mizzou, Maryland, even A&M) switching conferences for the reasons they did more than the historic brands like UT, OU, USC, UCLA, etc. (Although the Pac 12 was a disaster, so fair enough there.) The Big 12 that UT and OU left was absolutely a solid conference that they controlled. Seemed bizarre to leave.
Was the #SEC really the right move for #Oklahoma?

NEW Softcore History is LIVE D-Day is coming up so covered a guy who had possibly the worst day of anyone on Omaha beach who didn’t lose a limb or die. Medic Ray Lambert had multiple insane moments straight out of Saving Private Ryan, starting as soon as he landed *with the first wave* at Dog Green Sector on Omaha Beach.

NEW Softcore History is LIVE We break down one of the low-key most important events of the American Revolution -- the capture of Ft. Ticonderoga -- and how it was accomplished by two drama queens, an army of drunks, and a fake hobo. Links below.

The funniest part about this is that he’s clearly just lying.
Steven Bartlett says a few glasses of wine ruined the next 3 days of his life “It's one of those areas where you don't understand the hidden cost until you really give it up for a while. I stopped drinking at 30 years old. I'm now 33. When I was 31, I thought, I'll have a drink again because now I could really A/B test it. I had a year of not drinking, decided to have a drink again” “It ruined three days of my life. I had a couple of glasses of wine, didn't get drunk. It ruined three days of my life because of the domino effect it caused” “I got worse sleep that night, and then because I got worse sleep that night, I ate more poorly the next day because my dopamine system or whatever, the cortisol system was all messed up. I podcasted worse. I didn't go to the gym that day or the day after because I felt really bad. I then slept worse, and I could track all of this on my Whoop”

Here’s the first 50 seconds of the silent film hardcore porno we watched on the Softcore History Patreon ep last night. Can’t recommend this ep enough.
NEW Softcore History Patreon ep is out and it’s one of our best. We watch and react live to two of the first hardcore pornos ever filmed — A Grass Sandwich (1915) and El Satario (1907). Literally hardcore silent films. It’s wonderful. patreon.com/posts/158767776?…
