Olen on Hudson: ‘We talked to him about coming to New Mexico after coaching change last spring. He’s someone we’ve recruited since he was in hs. There’s quite a bit overlap with what they did at San Diego. He’s as close to returning player as you can have without being one.’
Olen: ‘Rytis is a really good player. He’s coming off an injury. He’s so versatile the way he impacts the game on both sides of the floor. He’s a winner, great for the locker room.’
Olen: ‘We won’t know until sometime in October where people are. Every season guys come in and aren’t where you thought in certain areas relative to what you expected, and some guys will exceed expectations.’
Olen on having the returning players: ‘That’s the real benefit, it’s not just the returning players knowing, but it’s having them next to the new players executing things.’
Olen: ‘Early in practice it’s a bit of balancing our workload a little bit and building our capacity gradually. We’re doing some skeleton offensive installation right now.’
