I’m fairly certain I receive 9x more cold emails from companies selling outbound sales software than from companies offering services I’d genuinely consider buying. Make of that what you will.

This is a bullshit take. People have been happily installing software from sources they trust for decades. We clicked installers, dragged apps into folders, added package repositories, ran shell scripts, installed browser extensions, and approved OS prompts without reading a fucking thing. The idea that curl | bash suddenly represents a moral failing is hilarious. A single command that downloads, configures, and installs software is an incredible achievement. We should appreciate that more often! Ultimately, every install is a trust exercise; we’ve just invented different UIs for it.
