Love Chris. Always have. He was hosting the breakfast show on the old Virgin Radio 27 years ago, when I was fired from Blue Peter. I’d never met him at that point and he defended me for a week. I reminded him today of a quote of his from that show, which became a Sun from page. “Half the BBC are on drugs” 😂 He didn’t mean it But it was funny. Listening to a broadcaster, who’s your hero, who you’ve never met, defend you all week long, for nearly the entirety of every show, helped me get through it. It turned it from something a bit frightening as a 22-year-old - to something comic and absurd. He’s got the same energy he’s always had. (We were talking about my new podcast. ‘Why Are You More Successful Me’)
