This is, I think, correct. I keep playing with simpler words that convey the same ideas, maybe in forms that could be parsed by a literary critic or philosopher. Example: I keep describing personas and user models as ‘the you inevitably demanded by the context.’

so in llms, every forward pass is an involuntary persona assessment bc you can’t minimize surprise on someone’s words without inferring the kind of writer behind them. maybe “you” are just the posterior over latent archetypes attention reconstructs to minimize next token loss.
