Labor, via abandonment of their former core constituency, working class people, have opened the door wide to One Nation to harvest the discontent. Many Australians are losing out economically to vested interests who benefit from tax loopholes. This has been occurring for decades.

Regarding AUKUS, the security establishment is imperilling both our safety & standard of living. Both an outrageous cost that could be used productively for social cohesion investment and of zero strategic merit. Why alienate China our major trading partner & make us a target?

Data centres: a lot of attention is given to the needed supply of electricity. Renewables can meet this demand with sound planning by respective govts. The bigger issue in a dry country is likely to be water availability for cooling purposes. Same issue, of many, with nuclear.

The motives of the USA and Iran have been extensively canvassed in both the traditional and social media. Not so for the other protagonist (along with the USA) Israel. Is Israel pulling the strings behind the scenes and why? Answers are needed to form a rounded opinion.

Is the current PM more Whitlam or Graeme Richardson?

The International Energy Agency noted in its annual stocktake that 70% of methane emissions from fossil fuels could be abated using existing technologies. It added, though, there was no sign that energy-related methane emissions fell in 2025.

Solar panels supported by a battery and an EV create energy and transport independence for households. These households are not held hostage to the $/supply whims of big oil/gas companies and geopolitical devts. In essence renewables are democratic: the individual has influence!

Did the PMs address to the nation link affordability, reliable supply and energy security to renewables?

The murder of an estimated 30,000 Iranians by their religious leadership demonstrates the fundamental importance of separating the state and the church: for a society to protect and nuture human rights.

The PM appears to have a woman problem; like some previous LNP PMs. Evidence is Tanya Plibersek, Grace Tame and Australian women trapped in Syria.

Be wary of what you wish for. The visit of the Israeli President may cause divisions as Palestinians in Australia are mourning the loss of beloved ones as a result of Israel's genocide in Gaza. His presence, especially after signing an artillery shell, is contentious.

All manifestations of racism are abhorrent and need to be fully addressed by society as a whole. So why is anti-semitism being singled out for special attention with the attendant risks, given the political pressure of Zionists, for undermining freedom of expression?

For senior politicians and especially the PM and premiers of NSW and SA, to speak with sincerity and integrity on Israel they need to visit Gaza, of their own volition and unaccompanied by minders: to talk candidly with Palestinians about their respective lives.

Imagine if we had a genuine resources rent tax like Norway and Qatar. The $ raised could, over time, fully fund transition to renewables and help pay for proper insulation of 'homes', especially for disadvantaged citizens. It appears, though, that fossil fuel donations hold sway

Is Australia ever going to mature beyond a colonial mindset? First the English invasion in 1788 and ensuing genocide; post WWII obsequiousness to the USA on all matters relating to security and potentially Israel on my right to speak respectfully and with clarity on Gaza.

I wonder how culturally safe those of Islamic faith feel in Australia as a result of the fear engendered by Islamaphobia over many years; heightened by the outpouring of vitrol towards them in general post Bondi? There are many kind people in the Muslim community in Australia.

The prejudices and racism of Australians has been amplified in the last 9 years by the plebicite (LGBTIQ ); COVID (Chinese heritage); The Voice (Indigenous) & Bondi (Islam belief/Jewish heitage). Labor fiddles/equivocates and conservatives brawl. Where is the compassion & vision

Multiculturalism is fraying yet both major parties are blithely ignoring this cornerstone of life in our beautiful country.

The pattern is clear: at every possible opportunity Labor is undermining democracy: proposed racial hate laws, restrictions on FoI, a NACC that is conficted and appears reluctant to investigate anything, zero whistleblower protections and a general cone of silence, witness AUKUS.

Regarding the Adelaide Writers Festival a disengenuous and by his own word a letter of "hypocrisy" by the Premier. Whilst mentioned actions by RAF are reprehensible the mention of "division" and "disunity" is overblown, noting also the veiled threats. The 'conflict' is genocidal
