Hi @HECParis @HECParisMasters I just wasted 20 minutes submitting a reference letter for a student who is applying to your institution. You need to change your reference system; the current version is wasting our time.

But now I can't submit my reference without uploading a photo of my professional ID?? Thanks for forcing me to take a photo and crop out all the sensitive details before sending it to you. You sent the request to my professional email address: isn't proof enough of who I am?

Sorry for the rant, but your system makes it very annoying to submit a reference. BTW: the student is excellent, you should make him an offer.

Congratulations to Dr @AndralCharly who succesfully defended his PhD @Paris_Dauphine yesterday! His doctoral work was supervised by Christian Robert and Randal Douc @mathsEtCaetera; I was delighted to be part of the jury.

Bayesians! Are you a member of @ISBA_events? Are you into applications in the Social Sciences? We are starting a new ISBA section on Bayesian Social Sciences. This requires a petition, signed by at least 30 ISBA members. You can add your name here: docs.google.com/document/d/1…

Statisticians and practitioners have recently started meeting at the Bayesian Methods in the Social Sciences workshops (Paris 2022, Amsterdam 2024). We are hoping that an ISBA section will help bring this community further together. Join us!
