Excellent breakdown Swishy. Glad someone can recognize what this kid does on nightly basis.
🚨Sunday Scouting w Swishy:
Love this play from LA #92 Brandt Darren Clarke to set up this goal for JuiceBox Kempe. He recognizes early when the puck goes low to high that once Wiesblatt finishes a check he shouldn’t have, the Predators have 4 caught below the top of the circles on the strong side. Let’s breakdown what Clarke recognizes: ⬇️
#1 Once that puck is transported low to high, and Nashville winger finishes his hit (puts himself outside the dots), #92 scans to see the real estate in front of him. He quickly gains inside ice and gets his feet going down hill to challenge #47 on Nashville who is caught sunk below the dot.
#2 He is able to freeze #47 by attacking downhill and eventually create a passing lane to dish the pill over to Kempe. But by gaining the middle ice he holds the weak side defending winger in tracks in case he elects to use his partner Edmundson aka opens up a ton of ice underneath for Kempe to operate in.
#3 Puts #47 on the tracks. Dishes to JuiceBox Kempe and bang bang its top cheese where grandma hides the Epstein files.
Textbook motion off the blue line by #92 and using your eyes to pre scan before receiving the puck!
Pre scan-> take ice and get your boots moving -> attack downhill -> freeze defender -> dish the rock. Excellent display of creating offense for teammates.
