New from me:
10 years before Ohio Works dumped $8.5M into the GOP primary in Texas, the network that spawned them took shape.
I dug through a decade of IRS & FEC disclosures, court documents and news articles to map it out.
This is the Clark Fork Group.

Another Super PAC (this one going against Trump-endorsed Mike Collins in GA Sen) strategically timing their donations/ads to not disclose until after their election.
Georgia Values started 5/23, reporting period ended 5/27βdidn't spend until 6/3.
Super PACs in the last 2 months linked to GOP meddling (using predominantly Republican filing software, Crimson):
Lead Left
Progressive Champions
California Blue*
Real Change*
*Both use Four Ponies llc for media, whose director Paul Prim is California Blue treasurer
Now we wait for next week's financial disclosures to see who's paying for at least 3 of them.
Progressive Champions held their spending back until this month, so likely nothing there.

Even though the new pop up Super PAC Progressive Champions registered in mid-May, don't expect to see anything but zeroes on their June filing.
Don't let the yahoo email fool you, I'm pretty sure they're not so out of touch to know how to game a reporting deadline.
And here is the ad buy from Progressive Champions, the mystery PAC that @allymutnick reported yesterday, coming in at $1.5 Million against Cait Conley in NY-17.
The vendor, Direct Media Services, is a Wyoming llc incorporated less than two weeks ago.
The billionaire donors supporting Susan Collins have a net worth of $888 billion, or nearly nine times Maineβs entire economic output in 2025. None are Maine residents. buff.ly/5l7W0XH
The reason why Super PACs like Kentucky 4thβand likely Lead Left/Real Changeβcan get away with straw donor funding via llcs like Tamarack Aspen is that the FEC had proven time and time again to be spineless, rendering their own regulations meaningless.
No one is scared of them.
Scoop for @VanityFair: Three former DOGE employees, including the Pentagon's outgoing chief data officer, are raising $130 million for an AI defense startup focused on selling tech to government. π Investors include Andreessen Horowitz and Sequoia Capital.

Looking ahead, there's some worry among Michigan Dems that MI-07 could be another race where mystery super PACs start spending.
There was even a GOP poll from while ago testing positive messages for organizer William Lawrence over party favorites Bridget Brink and Matt Maasdam.
We've got ANOTHER mystery super PAC - this time in #NY17 hitting Cait Conley (D) for "profiteering" from "firms partnered w a major ICE contractor"

Super PAC backed by Paul Singer, Alex Karp, ConocoPhillips, and American Chemistry Council with another ad buy opposing Mary Peltola (D) in the Alaska Senate raceβbringing the total up to ~$800K.
NY-10 Incumbent Dan Goldman outraises opponent Brad Lander $3.53M to $874K and outspends him $3.49M to $1.04M in April/May.
Goldman still has the COH advantage $1.54M to Lander's $493K.
Last year, we forecasted political ad spending would reach $10.8B.
We are now revising that estimate upward to $11.6B, making the 2025β2026 cycle the most expensive election cycle on record.
