I loved biology and thought I wanted to be a doctor until I realised I didn't like blood and was troubled by patient trauma. I did my A-levels during Covid and my teacher encouraged me to pursue exams based on my interests, not what would lead to a specific career. Gerren Ntiri

What advice would you offer?
Pay attention to your health.
Figure out what you don't like, as much as what you do like.
Never ask what's in it for me? Have a helping mindset.
Be interested and be interesting. Have something to say. Always introduce yourself to every room.

Misconceptions about your role?
So many parts of my brain that I engage all the time. But marketing is often considered "easy."
What inspired you to go into television?
I had the passion and convinced my mum I could succeed outside a more traditional route like doctor, lawyer.
