There is increased police activity in the area of the 900 block of Yellowjacket Lane. The Rockwall Police are currently investigating an assault. Please avoid the area at this time.

UPDATE: The source of the gunfire was located and it was determined that a neighbor with acreage was shooting at squirrels. A nearby elementary school was placed on secure while the investigation occurred but that has since been lifted. No injuries were reported related to this.

And overnight crash between two 18-wheelers has westbound 30 at John King Boulevard down to one lane. Crews are actively working to clear the interstate, but the left lane will remain closed for quite some time. Please expect significant delays and consider an alternate route.
