Germinating rain 11 days ago and another rain 5 days later, 11mm in total. Glad to see the canola up even on this swampy black ground, would be good to get enough rain to fill the cracks one day soon. JD disc seeder is great at establishing canola

Pretty impressed when one of the company owners show his commitment to making the best product he can by driving all over Australia to strengthen them just in case it might be a issue in the future. I learnt a lot in a few hours. Thanks Lenny. It’s a beautifully designed machine.

Found these blocks give you a bit more room to move when changing the oil and filters in the back end of the tractor, there great for the truck too and the handle on the block makes that bit easier too

Trying to come up with ways to avoid using heavy D shackles when joining recovery straps. Not sure if this soft shackle/lifting sling is a good idea yet but it might spark some ideas.

Squeezing a pen light torch into the top of a drum while filling them up makes seeing the level a whole lot easier

That $3 hose clamp stoped me getting out of the cab every 10mins to clean baked on mud off between the gauge wheel and the disc Usually I can run the wheel close or wide & one will work, when neither did the clamp stoped the build up but it did throw more mud so I made a mud flap

Happy to help promote this new service that will be of great assistance to anyone else who finds themselves in this unfamiliar territory on a steep learning curve. It’s the idea of a country nurse with country people in mind.

This piece of plastic came from the middle of a shuttle. I’d used the ends for another job and had this left over. It slippery and long so great for helping me slide under things but not very absorbent when you spill oil on it, so now I throw a bit cardboard on top of it as well

Bit slow thinking of this after years of trying to turn my head right around to see these gauges. Cameras are handy things🤠

Great day and great rollup at Woorak today. A couple of excellent speakers plus the annual crop walk. Came across a coupe of cracking oaten hay crops but still had a good discussion on how to do it better. Enjoyed having the opportunity to learn from all these top operators

Came across this idea at last weeks Nhill’s Pony Express Motorbike Enduro. These 10 & 20lt Dow containers have an internal thread in the breather hole and make a great Jerry can. Easy to pour and fill. Gave it a coat of plastic primer and red just to make it look right.

One simple way of getting left over grain in and out of a shuttle. Thanks to Dad for spotting something similar on his travels
