Tulsi Gabbard Releases Documents on U.S.-Funded Biolabs in More Than 30 Countries
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced the release of evidence she says shows U.S. taxpayer funds supported more than 120 biolabs across over 30 countries, including Ukraine. Gabbard accused Dr. Anthony Fauci and members of the Biden administration's national security team of repeatedly misleading the public about the existence of the facilities and alleged that critics who raised concerns were threatened or dismissed. She stated that some of the labs conducted research involving hazardous pathogens and, in certain cases, gain-of-function experiments with limited transparency and oversight. Gabbard also pointed to intelligence assessments warning that U.S.-funded labs in Ukraine containing dangerous pathogens could be vulnerable to attack, seizure, or damage amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
