In a world where for many, access to food is a given, how is it alright that for 281 million people, it’s not? Global food security has worsened in the last seven years whilst at the same time, food waste has increased. Currently food waste amounts to 9.5 million tonnes a year – that’s enough to feed 30 million people.
We urge you to use this #WorldHungerDay2024 to learn about the devastating impact hunger is having on the global population. Not enough is being done to mitigate this, we as a global community need to do more, now.
