He foresaw the collapse of the Soviet Union; many world leaders and prominent figures sought an audience with him It is also important to note that the Lubavitcher Rebbe had special ties to Ukraine. His life journey began in the glorious Ukrainian Hero City of Mykolaiv, then led him through the city of Dnipro, where he lived for some time and where his father served as the city’s chief rabbi.
