This has been happening for years, that’s why many don’t use the “shelves” provided for mobile orders (McD included). You have to ask at the front counter for your order. It’s called the Meal Lottery, you grab a bag hoping not to get caught, not knowing what you’re getting, and walk out. It was a bad idea even in the concept phase, which I was a part of. You really need lockers, not shelves. Luckily, lockers were just introduced in the US market recently (Asia has had them for a while). Link in comments 👇:
The absolute craziest thing happening in America right now is people walking into a Starbucks, Chipotle, whatever, and taking a to-go order that isn’t theirs. Complete insanity to me.
