What’s happened to The Late Show on @bbcradioulster and what age group is it reaching out to. With a wee bit of witnessing thrown in for good measure, the show is now sounding more like the late John Bennett’s Sunday Club - a programme we once knew and loved. I’m confused! 📻

A much-loved and recited poem, written 75 years ago by the late Tommy Robinson, a well-known character in my hometown of Larne. Tommy wrote it long before any controversial debates about Ulster-Scots and how it’s spoken. Penned in 1951, it was then shared by word of mouth.

Interesting that BBC television programme ratings are readily available. So why is @BBCnireland withholding the ratings for individual programmes on @bbcradioulster? Licence fee payers need to know how our money is being spent and if failed shows are being retained to save face.

Another departure from the Rupert Murdoch-owned U105 radio station in Belfast. Directors and staff are being let go down here in Louth/Meath, Dublin, Limerick & Cork.
Our taxpayer-enabled Coimisiun na Mean gave Rupert Murdoch radio stations €769,144 in the 26 counties in Jan 2026. Seems there was no condition on staffing or employment levels attached to the funding.
