I am
#Canadian, I am a soldier in the Armed Forces of
#Ukraine and I have Elhers Danlos Syndrome.
I wanted to make a nice video for
#CanadaDay with our soldiers to honour my country and supporters but for the first time in 7 months my body has had enough.
Nothing in this photo says โI have an invisible disabilityโ but this is the face of 3 days of pain, just 12 hours before being visited by medics because everything else I tried isnโt helping. Iโm a medic so that says a lot.
I work so hard everyday to tell the world about my battalion
@93Alcatraz because their lives depend on people caring and donatingโฆ

And though I have to admit the dietary and lifestyle changes in Ukraine have helped a lot, none of them know the battles I face inside my own body.
The thing about war and being a soldier is no matter how much you as an individual are breaking, the lives of your comrades depending on your work is enough to push you to keep going through anything.
Even on nights like tonight when you are writing to keep your mind away from the dark places it goes when pain this strong feels like an endless hell only you can feel.
This time too shall pass I know it, maybe tomorrow, maybe not but when you are in a military at war you know that much worse is coming and we need to be prepared.
Iโm not sure how much Iโll be posting the next day or so. I run all our social media accounts, 12 total so itโs a lot.
But please keep pushing their needs for me, even when im not posting they still depend on you.
