I think its because most riggers have had bad experiences with the cmo3 being edited without their knowledge. If a client wants a new update and I am not available, I dont mind handing the cmo3 directly to the other rigger. That way I know exactly who the file goes to and we have a professional understanding that they will only touch the new stuff, without editing any of the base rig (unless premission was granted). PSDs get edited far less often from what I personally witnessed. Other L2d riggers may have their own reasons, but this is just mine π«‘
Riggers if I'm paying you to rig my model that file should also go to me. I PAID FOR IT. it is MY MODEL.
Like what is this industry ? I pay THOUSANDS of dollars to not own the file of my own rigged model ????
