People swear the 3rd base blackjack player can âruin the whole tableâ with one bad decision.
But hereâs the math:
Blackjack is a sequential game with a fixed deck order. Whether a âbadâ hit or stand takes a card that wouldâve helped someone else, that same decision could just as easily take a card that wouldâve hurt them. Over time, good and bad outcomes cancel out. No one knows the next card â including 3rd base.

One âwrongâ move doesnât change the dealerâs destiny.

It just reveals the next card in a sequence that was already set.

Blame feels good. Probability doesnât care.
