Well, I am more than excited this morning, listening back to the final mix of a new song I completed yesterday, which I co-wrote with the amazingly talented Marcella Detroit (Shakespears Sister, Eric Clapton and more). This has HUGE potential for a BIG film placement!

Many #songwriters & #composers get flooded with the "wrong kind of offers", meaning people who offer you a way into synch placements, but by paying them money to show you how! Not many of these are legit, although there are some.
Tread carefully & use due dilligence!

Making an 80s style vintage cinematic instrumental today, using @EastWestSounds wonderful ICONIC package on Composer Cloud .
I also tested out my new SSD 5.5 drums and new 'tape echo' and 'Lexicon reverb' plugins. All good :)

Today I've been mostly working on the paperwork side of music, PRS, publishing deals from the past and getting all my affairs in order, because not one single one of us knows when our situations may suddenly change or end!

Next project, a 60s/70s vintage style soul ballad, with a @BrunoMars production feel.
Co-written with the unique vocals of #CyeThomas, It's Come To This. is a song that Bruno himself would certainly love, I'm sure!

I was listening to BBC Radio 4's #GoodBadBillionaires the other day and they were discussing #StevenSpielberg and his brilliant negotiating ability. What took my interest was his ability to negotiate GROSS income percentages successfully with big film companies!

I also loved the way h had a little bet with George Lucas and made even more money from the outcome of that. #Spielberg is not just a 'movie' genius, he's a bit of a financial genius too!
