Something I think about a lot: in the past humans didn't need to discipline themselves as much to be healthy. In the modern world we have an abundance of - sugar so need to brush our teeth - stimulation so need meditation - comfort and convenience so need exercise - artificial light so need to be disciplined about bed time Not saying there weren't problems in the past in these categories but most of them were taken care of just by living closer to nature. Modern problems require modern discipline.

It's one thing to HAVE the tech. It's another hurdle to get people USING the tech.
